Uno dei film di guerra più introspettivi mai proposti; segna il marchio di un giovane Terrence Malick, che renderà negli anni futuri il suo tocco sempre più unico due east riconoscibile. L'immenso bandage è di proporzioni bibliche, forse fin esagerato rispetto al tipo di proposta che viene prodotta; è forse riduttivo vedere attori come up George Clooney e John Travolta, ridotti ad united nations cameo di pochi secondi. L'alternanza tra immagini crude due east forti e i pensieri e le conversazioni del vero protagonista Jim Caviezel, sono il fulcro del film eastward della sua trama. La crudeltà della guerra racchiusa in poche eastward lunghe sequenze sulla conquista di una semplice collina.

Private Witt: "Do you e'er experience lonely?" First Sgt. Edward Welsh: "But effectually people." It was poor timing for this to come up out the aforementioned year as 'Saving Private Ryan', as this would oft get overshadowed, which it doesn't deserve to. 'The Thin Red Line' is Terrence Malick at his most poetic. I was honestly surprised by how many celebrates made an appearance, which due to the style of editing out famous people, they appearances turned into cameos. Adrien Brody was the well-nigh famous 'picture actress' of all time. Out of all the World War 2 movies, non one of them felt this unique and spiritual, and that hasn't been topped yet.

Philosophical and brimming with life in the face of expiry. Don't expect Individual Ryan, considering Cerise Line is more concerned with observation of homo nature and the natural world, not gainsay. Expertly photographed.

Well what can I really say, I love that people have tried to compare this movie to saving Individual Ryan but it completely takes a far left turn from that to me information technology'southward a motion picture that shouldn't be called a war movie but more of a drama based in wartime, it's super slow somewhat boring at parts with the lack of motivation you don't become continued to whatever of it cast emotionally, where you lot can forget what the heck people were talking about the narrative is everywhere it has such an amazing cast but the writing could have been a lot better focusing the story more around its key star cast instead of trying to create something completely different to me this is the reason why the movie falls so brusque, key focal points in guidelines to get confusing in this movie. Is it worth seeing? Well if you're willing to throw away near 3 hours of your life be my guest! Also that I would only stick with saving Private Ryan. Action and connection all in one.

9 8 8 8 8 eight 8 8 8 8 = 81 2021/eleven/1 目前看到最好的戰爭片之一，或是說最得我心的戰爭片。馬利克摻揉類型片與哲學詰問的敘事方式必須倚賴兩者之間相容與否以決定作品的成敗，而在紅色警戒上是利大於弊。首先因戰爭片的短板在於刻劃人心不足或膚淺，全片必須著重於戰爭的殘酷與殺戮，若加以過多的人物描繪便會失去重心；但若領受馬利克在片頭便已明確表示這部片並非我們過往所熟知的戰爭片敘事類型，便能輕易地被Witt帶往他眼中所見、心之所想，反向思考戰爭存在與荒謬(戰爭世俗性的荒謬與生命哲學形而上的荒謬)的母題，尤其劇中並沒有人如同金甲部隊中Animal Mother一樣是刻意扁平化描繪的角色，每個人都透過如同畫外音的畫內音述說自己內心所遭受的折磨與真實感受，被藏在心裡的柔軟聲響與外在被戰爭磨練的剛強肉體呈現極大的對比。儘管近三小時的片長，許多有名演員在部隊中出現的時間僅僅只有幾分鐘，每個人顯得極不重要，都只是戰爭或世界中的一粒沙。若是再將日本人內心的聲音與準備戰鬥的過程拍下，可能需要6小時左右的時長。戰爭動作戲的部分其實也並不馬虎，子彈掃射與擊中人體之間的快速剪接、角色奔跑跟拍的Dolly與中間如同另一世界般隨風起舞的長草靜景，在基本盤沒有落後的情況，馬利克在戰爭片的類型中也能以此佔有一席之地。

Honestly, I don't empathise any of the accolades for this film. To me it was so slow, ponderous and filled to the brim with sleep-inducing, hackneyed, boring poetic nonsense that I could barely stand up the watch the film. There'southward a couple "but okay" action scenes, but it'south not worth the tedium to get to them, if activity is your thing. The interim is hit and miss, as well. I recollect the term "pretentious" is thrown around way too casually these days, and is rarely used accurately, but this film fits that term perfectly. None of the audio-visual "meditative" sequences ever seemed to country for me, just meandering and sometimes plain nonsensical, feigning a deeper meaning. Don't think that I don't take the tum for arthouse-style films--I can happily sit through a Tarkovsky movie, given I'thou in the right mood. Only the difference is that Tarkovsky offers substance. This does not.

This film is one of the best I've e'er seen. Every role player is skilful, Jim Caviezel and Nick Nolte as noticeable great performances. This film has stuck with me for quite a while. Terrence Malick doesn't do his infuriating voice over dialogue a lot in the film. It's enough and is effective, you tin can encounter what each character is going through in this war. Its likewise not deadening at all. nine.25/x for me.
This motion picture is one of the best I've ever seen. Every actor is good, Jim Caviezel and Nick Nolte equally noticeable groovy performances. This film has stuck with me for quite a while. Terrence Malick doesn't do his infuriating voice over dialogue a lot in the movie. Information technology's enough and is effective, you can run into what each grapheme is going through in this war. Its as well not deadening at all. 9.25/10 for me.

Idea provoking with a star studded bandage, Thin Red line delves into a side of conflict not only in war but inside the human being mind. With this non existence a standard war movie and more than of a drama, most people will exist turned abroad due to liberties taken to avert action.
